It’s true, Caden is now causing problems for himself! Yes, tonight we can put blame on our poor little guy. Caden pulled his feeding tube 1/2 way out and they believe some milk from his continuous feeding tube spilled into his lungs. We won’t know for about 12 hours as that’s when they can usually see it we’ve been told. They ordered another x-ray tonight and then they’ll do an additional one tomorrow sometime.

We don’t have word yet from Caden’s echo, we’ll probably hear something tomorrow. Caden lost a little bit more weight tonight, 1600 grams so about 3 lb. 9 oz. This is a good thing as it means he’s getting rid of some of his excess fluid.

Caden’s also thrown up 3 times tonight though. They tried fortifying his milk tonight and his tummy apparently did not like that. They have stopped his feedings for now and are increasing his IV fluids until they can find be sure as to why he’s vomiting. His oxygen has been in the 30′s and 40′s and is a bit high right now as he’s been stressed.

Update: I just talked to the NNP and they think things are going ok and they are going to start his feedings again. They are going to go back to the regular milk which will hopefully prevent him from vomiting anymore. Also they said the Xray looked ok, and his oxygen is decreasing a little bit he’s in the low 40′s now.
